VALIA Health
Executive Physical · Houston

A day to look deeper. A plan built from everything we learn.

The VALIA Executive Physical is not a one-day promise of instant answers.

It is a physician-led evaluation that begins with an extended assessment at VALIA, continues through additional data collection, and concludes approximately three to four weeks later with a 90-minute results conference and a written plan built specifically for you.

You do not need to be a VALIA member.

The product

The product is not the testing.

Many physicals end with a portal full of numbers.

VALIA begins there.

Dr. Camilla Petersen reviews your history, examination, laboratory findings, metabolic data, fitness, body composition, and any appropriate advanced diagnostics together.

You leave the process with a physician’s interpretation, not simply test results.

Then she answers the questions that matter

  • What looks reassuring?
  • What deserves attention?
  • What might explain the changes you are seeing?
  • What can you act on now?
  • What needs additional evaluation?
  • What should involve another specialist?
  • What should be measured again?
  • What would Camilla prioritize first if this were her own health?
What the process produces

Your Book About You.

At your results conference, you receive your personalized Book About You. It is not a laboratory printout. It is written to explain what the findings mean for you.

Everything below this point is how the Book gets made.

01 / Your Health in One Page

The report opens with a concise summary designed to answer:

  • What is going well?
  • What are the most important concerns?
  • What are our priorities?
  • What should we do next?

It should be understandable to you, and to the person you go home and discuss your health with.

02 / Your Findings

The deeper report explains the relevant measurements and how Camilla interprets them together.

03 / Your Priorities

Not every abnormal number deserves equal attention. Camilla identifies what she believes matters most.

04 / Your Plan

Clear recommendations.

What happens next, where appropriate

  • reassessment
  • specialist involvement
  • additional testing
  • medication
  • nutrition
  • fitness
  • weight management
  • sleep
  • risk reduction
  • continued physician care

The goal is clarity.

How the Book gets made

Three parts, weeks apart.

01 / Your assessment day

One day to gather the evidence.

Approximately 7:30 AM–2:30 PM

  1. 7:30 AM

    Fasting laboratory collection

The day begins fasting so we can complete your laboratory work and any appropriate send-out testing.

The exact panel is selected around the evaluation rather than used as a one-size-fits-all list.

  2. Approximately 90 minutes

    Your story

This is intentionally long. Camilla takes a true medical history.

    • current concerns
    • past medical history
    • family history
    • medications and supplements
    • previous testing
    • nutrition
    • sleep
    • exercise
    • weight history
    • lifestyle
    • previous attempts to improve your health
    • goals
    • the details you think may not matter

    Often, they do.

  3. Examination

    Comprehensive physician examination

Camilla performs a complete physical examination and uses the findings together with your history to determine what else deserves attention.

  4. Midday

    Refuel

After fasting testing is complete, you eat before the performance portion of the evaluation. Food and nutrition are part of the conversation rather than a separate appointment.

  5. Performance

    VO2 Max

Measure cardiorespiratory fitness and establish a baseline that can be reassessed over time.

  6. Performance

    InBody body composition

Understand more than body weight alone by establishing objective measurements of body composition.

  7. Before you leave

    14-day continuous glucose monitor

Before you leave, a CGM is placed for approximately two weeks of real-world data collection.

The purpose is not to turn food into a pass or fail test. It is to help make your individual metabolic response visible.

  8. When appropriate

    Selected outside imaging

Imaging is arranged at an outside center when Camilla believes it answers a question in your evaluation. It is scheduled around your day rather than assumed to be part of it.

You leave the assessment day with data collection still underway. That is intentional.

02 / The weeks after

What does not come back that day.

A physical that hands you conclusions at 2:30 PM is telling you what it knew before you arrived. Several of the most useful measurements in your evaluation have not finished yet.

  • The continuous glucose monitor

It measures roughly two weeks of ordinary life. There is nothing to read on the day it is placed.

  • Send-out laboratory testing

Some panels are processed outside and return later than the rest of your bloodwork.

  • Multi-cancer early detection, if selected

Testing such as Galleri is not a same-day result.

  • Biological age testing, if selected

Tools such as TruAge are not a same-day result.

  • Camilla's synthesis

The interpretation cannot be written until the information it interprets exists.

Good interpretation requires the information to exist first.

03 / Your results conference

Where the evidence becomes a plan.

Approximately 3–4 weeks after your assessment

This is the second major physician encounter in the Executive Physical.

You return for approximately 90 minutes with Camilla, in person.

By then, she has had time to review the history, examination, laboratory results, CGM data, fitness assessment, body composition, and any selected additional studies.

The purpose is not simply to tell you which numbers are red.

The purpose is to make the information useful.

What is gathered

The same foundation. Different questions.

Every Executive Physical is built on the same evaluation. What changes is which additional questions Camilla decides are worth asking about you.

Every evaluation includes

  • Comprehensive fasting laboratory panel, selected around your evaluation
  • Approximately 90 minutes of medical history with Camilla
  • Comprehensive physician examination
  • Food and nutrition discussion
  • VO2 Max cardiorespiratory fitness measurement
  • InBody body composition measurement
  • A 14-day continuous glucose monitor for real-world response
  • Camilla's synthesis across everything gathered
  • Your Book About You
  • A 90-minute results conference, in person
Selected, not standard

Advanced testing should answer a question.

Certain patients benefit from additional evaluation based on age, history, family history, existing findings, or the clinical question Camilla is trying to answer. Not every patient needs every test.

01 / Cardiovascular risk

Markers that describe risk more precisely than a standard lipid panel, such as ApoB, Lp(a) and hsCRP.

For selected patients, CaRi-Heart® may add further cardiovascular-risk information. It requires coronary CT imaging and is completed separately at an outside imaging center. VALIA does not have a CT scanner in the office, and no single tool determines treatment on its own.

02 / Metabolic function

Fasting insulin and related metabolic markers, read alongside the continuous glucose monitor.

The monitor is used as feedback on how your body responds to ordinary life, not as a screening test for disease.

03 / Endocrine

Thyroid evaluation where symptoms, history or prior results make it a useful question to ask.

04 / Cancer detection

Multi-cancer early detection testing such as Galleri may be discussed with selected patients as an additional option.

It does not replace guideline-recommended screening such as mammography, colonoscopy, or appropriate lung-cancer screening. Camilla discusses both potential benefits and limitations before testing.

05 / Longevity tracking

Epigenetic tools such as TruAge may be used as a motivational or tracking measure for selected patients.

They are not treated as a diagnosis or a definitive measure of individual health. The science continues to evolve.

06 / Gastrointestinal

Microbiome testing may inform a conversation about symptoms, diet and digestive health.

It is not used to predict disease or to direct treatment on its own.

Additional diagnostics may be discussed when they serve a defined purpose. The decision is Camilla’s, made with you, and it is made because a question needs answering.

Fit

Who this is for.

It may be a strong fit if:

  • something in your health has started to change
  • you have a family history that concerns you
  • you want a deeper evaluation than a typical annual physical
  • you have accumulated test results without a coherent explanation
  • you want a meaningful baseline before making changes
  • you want an experienced physician to look across the whole picture
  • you are considering concierge care but want to experience VALIA first

It is not designed simply to accumulate impressive tests.

Before you request

The questions people actually ask.

Do I need to be a VALIA member?

No. The Executive Physical is a standalone service. You may complete the entire evaluation without becoming a member.

Some patients decide after their results conference that they want Camilla to remain involved in executing and adjusting the plan. If so, you can discuss VALIA membership at that time. There is no requirement to join.

Is everything completed in one day?

No, and that is deliberate. The assessment day gathers the evidence. It does not conclude the assessment.

The continuous glucose monitor runs for roughly two weeks, send-out laboratory testing returns later, and any selected advanced testing is not a same-day result.

When do I receive my results?

At your results conference, approximately three to four weeks after your assessment day, once the relevant information has returned and Camilla has interpreted it.

It is in person and runs approximately 90 minutes.

What is the Book About You?

It is Camilla's written synthesis of your evaluation, given to you at the results conference. It opens with a summary of what is going well, what concerns exist, what the priorities are and what to do next, then explains the findings behind that summary.

It is not a laboratory printout, and it is written to be understood by you rather than by another clinician.

Is every advanced diagnostic included?

No. The assessment foundation is the same for everyone. Advanced tools are selected individually, based on age, history, family history, existing findings, or the clinical question Camilla is trying to answer.

Not every patient needs every test, and VALIA would rather explain why one is unnecessary than perform it because it appears on a list.

Where is imaging performed?

At an outside imaging center. CaRi-Heart® requires coronary CT imaging and is completed separately.

VALIA does not have a CT scanner in the office.

Does this replace standard cancer screening?

No. Multi-cancer early detection testing such as Galleri does not replace guideline-recommended screening such as mammography, colonoscopy, or appropriate lung-cancer screening.

Camilla discusses both the potential benefits and the limitations of any such testing before it is performed.

Does this replace my regular doctor?

No. The Executive Physical is a one-time assessment rather than ongoing care.

If you want a physician who stays involved after the plan is written, that is what a VALIA membership provides.

How do I prepare?

Arrive fasting. The day begins at approximately 7:30 AM with laboratory collection and generally finishes around 2:30 PM, so plan for a full day.

You eat at midday, once the fasting testing is complete and before the performance portion of the evaluation.

What does it cost?

The Executive Physical is structured around a core physician-led evaluation. Certain advanced diagnostics have substantial outside costs and are not automatically appropriate for every patient.

For that reason, final pricing depends in part on the testing selected for your evaluation.

How do I request availability?

Use the request button on this page. We will follow up with current pricing and availability.

Some people stop here.
Others want the relationship.

The Executive Physical is complete on its own. If you decide you want Camilla involved in carrying out and adjusting the plan, a membership is how that continues.

A better physical should give you more than more data.

It should help you understand what deserves your attention, and what to do next.
